Welcome to Moodia App. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") set out the rules and obligations for using our mental wellness services. By downloading, installing, registering for, or using our app, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Service Description

Moodia is a digital platform that offers support for emotional wellbeing. Key features include:

  • Mood tracking and analysis
  • Sleep pattern monitoring
  • Voice communication with trained volunteer supporters
  • Personalised wellness recommendations
  • Goal setting and progress tracking

Moodia does not replace clinical or medical care. See Section 4 for full disclaimer.

2. Eligibility and Account Registration

  • You must be 13 years or older to use the app.
  • If you are under 18, verifiable parental or guardian consent is required.
  • Each user may register one account only.
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password.

3. User Responsibilities

By using Moodia, you agree to:

  • Use the app only for lawful and appropriate purposes
  • Not impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
  • Not share your login details with others
  • Not misuse the volunteer support feature (e.g. trolling, harassment)
  • Promptly report any technical or security issues
  • Acknowledge that the app is not suitable for emergency or crisis situations

If you or someone else is in danger, contact emergency services immediately.

4. Health and Medical Disclaimer

  • The app is not a medical service and does not provide professional diagnosis or treatment.
  • All content is for informational and wellbeing support purposes only.
  • Moodia does not replace consultation with qualified healthcare providers.
  • In medical emergencies or serious mental health issues, always contact a professional or emergency services.

5. Volunteer Support Feature

  • Volunteer supporters are not therapists or medical professionals.
  • Their role is limited to peer support and active listening.
  • We cannot guarantee volunteer availability at all times.
  • Abusive, inappropriate, or manipulative behaviour may lead to restriction or termination of access.

6. Data Usage and Privacy

  • We collect and use personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • You retain ownership of your personal information.
  • We may use anonymised, aggregated data to improve services.
  • Health-related data is handled in accordance with UK GDPR and other applicable regulations.
  • You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data at any time.

7. Service Availability

We aim to keep the app available continuously. However:

  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
  • Features may change, be discontinued, or replaced at any time.
  • Maintenance or technical updates may temporarily affect access.

We will try to give advance notice of major changes wherever possible.

8. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users or volunteers
  • Post or share content that is offensive, unlawful, or inappropriate
  • Attempt to interfere with, hack, or reverse-engineer the app
  • Use bots, scripts, or other automated means to access the service

9. Termination of Use

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You breach these Terms
  • You engage in abusive or harmful behaviour
  • Your account remains inactive for an extended period
  • You request account deletion

In serious cases, we may take legal or technical steps to enforce these Terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data or emotional distress.
  • Our liability is limited to the greater of:
    • the amount you have paid (if any), or
    • £50.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

11. Intellectual Property

  • All content within the app is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property rights.
  • You may use the app and its content for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
  • You must not copy, distribute, modify, or reverse-engineer the app without prior written consent.
  • You retain ownership of content you submit to the app, but grant us a limited licence to use it for service delivery.
